Sod-Grass Installation

Grass - Sod installation

Sodding can be done any time of the year as long as the ground is not frozen. You'll need to prepare the soil ahead of time and water the sod regularly to keep the roots from drying out. Heavy activity should be avoided on sod, but as it grows it will need to be mowed.

There's nothing quite like a beautiful lawn in The Woodlands TX or nearby towns to spruce up your outdoor living area.

The past year we faced an aggressive drought season state wide and so many lawns where severed affected. We will be working hard this year bringing back those lawns, installing new grass or sod in those affected areas with fair prices for our customers. Starting at $ .49 cts sqf. Installed

* The following are our steps to install or replace grass-sod in your property.

STEP 1 - Measuring

Measure the area of your planned lawn. Include these measurements on a sketch of the lawn area, with the length, width, along with any obstacles such as trees and any unusual features. And send it to us by email.

Or simply make an appointment, and our landscape representative will be for you measuring the area.

STEP 2 - Preparation

We will need to make sure previous the new sod–grass installation to remove all existent sod-grass residues and all kind of weeds as well. Starting at $ .10 cts sqf.

If you have an underground sprinkler system, we will be flagging the sprinkler heads preventing damage during the preparation and installation processes.

“It is also best to bring in some additional sand, soil and or organic mixture, such as compost, to a depth of 3 to 4 inches to incorporate into the soil. Eliminate drainage problems by having the soil slope away from foundations, etc.” (please make sure to request this when you send your project).

STEP 3 - Turf Installation

The adventure of a new Installation starts, cutting and settling down square by square al around your specifications in your lawn area sketch.

Caution: During the first three weeks, avoid heavy or concentrated use of your new lawn. This includes keeping your larger dogs off of the area. This gives the roots an opportunity to firmly knit with soil and insures that the turf will remain smooth.

STEP 4 - Watering

Give your new lawn 1 inch of water within 1/2 hour of installation.

Water daily, or more often (especially on hot and windy days), keeping turf moist until it is firmly rooted and knitted together (for about 2 weeks). Once the sod has knit, it should be watered enough over the first few months to maintain a healthy growing condition.

Note: We recommend the use of either an underground sprinkler system, or an automatic timer that connects to your hose for consistent watering.

Your new sod lawn increases your property value significantly. With proper care, it will remain a great asset, providing beauty, a clean playing surface, and an improved environment.

Approximately 10 to 12 days from the time of installation mow will be allowed. Please schedule your service with our representatives. They will be notifying the crew with an “extra lawn care notice”.
